The great thing about living in Pittsburgh is all of the different seasons we experience, sometimes in a matter of days. Just last Thursday we had snow and ice. Yesterday we had some warmer weather move in, along with a ton of rain, which created a beautiful foggy Pittsburgh scene. I was downtown for a client meeting, and afterwards I headed over to the North Shore to see what I could capture. Now, I’ve shot fog in the city plenty of times, but usually it’s the type fog that hangs above the city (like this morning). But yesterday afternoon it was sitting right along the river and combined with the fog/low hanging clouds above the city, created this beautiful, serene scene in Pittsburgh. I captured images earlier in the day, about an hour before sunset and well into the evening. These are some of my favorites. It was well worth standing out in the rain for three hours to get all of these.
