A couple weeks back I met Katie and Andy on the North Shore of Pittsburgh for a winter engagement session during a chilly winter morning. I have the pleasure of capturing their wedding later this summer, which I’m really excited about! Since it had been so cold (and a little rainy) the past week in Pittsburgh, I was a little concerned about the weather on Sunday, but it ended up being perfect. A little cold, sure, but that’s to be expected in Pittsburgh. There was a nice amount of drama in the clouds that provided a perfect backdrop for the session. We walked along the Allegheny River, heading from the docks near PNC Park all the way down to Heinz Field, with a stop on the bridge as well. After that we made our way over to Station Square and the Smithfield Street Bridge, which always lends itself to being photographed well. A couple hours and red noses later, we called it a day. The images turned out great and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in a few months!
