Well, maybe not actual fireworks AT the wedding, but the wedding was July 5th! I actually had been out to capture the Pittsburgh 4th of July fireworks the night before, so it was a bit odd being back downtown, when less than 12 hours before it had been packed with tens of thousands of people! Anyway, on to Brit and Tory! Talk about a beautiful day for their wedding: it was absolutely perfect. Not too hot, not a cloud in the sky and downtown nearly all to ourselves. We did things a little different than normal, as we met first thing in the morning in downtown Pittsburgh to capture the bridal party shots before the wedding, which was out in Aliquippa. They decided to do a first look along the Allegheny River under the Ft. Duquesne Bridge, which was the perfect location for it!
After spending some time at Point State Park, we made our way up to the West End Overlook for some views of the city before heading out to the ceremony. The reception was a ton of fun as well, as there was Twister, Giant Jenga and a whole host of other games to play! Peace, Love And Little Donuts and was there as well, with coconuts donuts, maple bacon ones and more! Add that in with the iced coffee bar, and you have yourself a wonderful afternoon reception. The day ended with a sparkler send off and a drive away in a Jaguar. A perfect end to a perfect day!
