Night lights

Good morning everyone!  For today’s post we’ll move across the river from New York City to Hoboken.  Well, the pier in Hoboken looking towards the skyline at night.  These are a couple of images that I took during my last night in the city on my most recent visit.  I hope to be going back in the next month or so, as my brother has just recently got an apartment there.  Being only 15 minutes from Manhattan has me a bit jealous!

Both of these images have the W Hotel in Hoboken as the main subject of the photo, the one below is just a bit wider angle than the top.  It certainly is an impressive building, rising up out of the skyline, with the large W on top almost looking like a lighthouse!  I really like the pattern that the rooms make, as some of them are lit up and some of them dark.

Sorry for the quick post today, should have a bit of a longer one tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by!

These are really nice images, Dave. I like the way the buildings are lit and how you smoothed out the water.ReplyCancel

That building really does stand out, better in the first shot because in the second it competes a little with the bulky building at left edge. Beautifully lit. Nice shot, DaveReplyCancel

Cool shots Dave. I love that you can see some star trails, especially in the first image.ReplyCancel
